Blomme Meisie is a small, specialised dahlia nursery based at Wolwerivier Farm, Koue Bokkeveld, Western Cape, South Africa. We are committed to providing high-quality dahlia tubers, seeds, and in-person growing courses to gardeners across South Africa.
Because we work with living plant material, our refund and return policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and protective of product integrity.
- Nature of Our Products
All dahlia tubers and seeds sold by Blomme Meisie are living plant products. Variations in size, shape, and appearance are completely natural and do not affect growth performance.
Successful growth depends on multiple external factors, including:
Soil quality
Watering practices
Climate conditions
Planting method and care
We provide guidance to support your success, but final growing conditions remain the responsibility of the customer.
- Returns Policy
Due to the perishable and biological nature of our products:
We do not accept returns once products have been delivered.
This is to protect the quality, safety, and biosecurity of all plant material.
- Damaged, Incorrect, or Faulty Items
We take great care in packaging and inspecting all orders before dispatch.
If your order arrives:
Damaged
Incorrect
Rotten or unusable on arrival
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
You must include:
Order number
Clear photographs of the issue
Description of the problem
After review, we will, at our discretion:
Replace the item, OR
Offer a partial or full refund, OR
Issue store credit
- Non-Germination / Growing Results
As we supply live plant material, we cannot guarantee growth success once tubers or seeds have been planted.
We are not responsible for:
Non-germination
Poor flowering results
Plant failure due to environmental conditions
Incorrect planting or care practices
However, we are committed to supporting you and provide growing guidance to help you succeed.
No refunds will be issued for non-growth once planting has taken place.
- Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided they have not already been processed or prepared for dispatch.
After this period, cancellations may not be possible.
- Shipping Policy
Blomme Meisie currently ships only within South Africa.
We are not responsible for:
Courier delays
Weather-related shipping delays
Packages marked as delivered but not received
However, we will assist where possible to resolve delivery issues.
- In-Person Courses
For in-person growing courses:
Bookings are non-refundable once confirmed
If you are unable to attend, please contact us to discuss possible rescheduling (subject to availability)
- Protection Clause
Blomme Meisie reserves the right to refuse refund or replacement requests in cases of:
Improper planting or storage
Neglect or incorrect care of plants
Damage caused after delivery
Claims made outside the stated timeframes
All claims are assessed fairly and individually.

Customer information is handled in accordance with South African POPIA regulations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
